EM8617 I get a message every so often (mainly in the night) that the WiFi connection has been lost.

This is known and is not a fault of the alarm system, this is caused by the internet providers (eg Ziggo) who often perform maintenance on their network and modems during the night. At that moment your WiFi / internet connection is gone.
